The Betrayal of Brotherhood

When Unity Turns Into Division
Look at the Black man —
he crosses borders not to conquer,
but to survive.
He leaves the dust of his birthplace
searching for greener pastures
in the southern lands of Africa.

He carries no weapons of war,
only dreams in his hands.
Dreams of unity.
Dreams of building.
Dreams of standing shoulder to shoulder
with a brother who looks like him,
speaks like him,
bleeds like him.

He believes in shared struggle.
He believes pain has taught them the same lessons.
He believes that history has carved the same scars
into their skin.

But when he arrives,
he is met not with open arms,
but with suspicion.
Not with protection,
but with terror.

The greatest wound
is not from the stranger.
It is from the brother
who has forgotten the rhythm of unity
and now bows to drums
that do not beat for his people.

And so the question remains:
How did we become strangers to ourselves?
How did survival turn into division?
How did brotherhood turn into betrayal?

Until we answer that,
the dream of unity will remain
just that —
a dream.
