South Africa’s Forgotten Fight

You can fight our foreign brothers and sisters — call them names, beat them, chase them from the streets. But what you fight for is already gone. The struggle you claim to defend has lost its meaning. I laugh like a madman watching you, because South Africa is no longer what you think it is.

Our foreign brothers came and lay with our sisters, and we lay with theirs. From that shared sweetness, children were born — children of both sides. While you run through the streets shouting, those children sit at desks learning the law. One day, they will rule South Africa. And when they do, they will reach across the border to bring their cousins home.

You can kill them and call them names today, but when their children rise above yours, don’t be surprised. Your spoiled children will know only how to fight in the streets, while the children of those you despise will sit in parliament. They will remember the pain you caused their mothers and fathers.

The wheel is still turning. You may not be here when it comes full circle, but your descendants will be — and they will suffer for the barbaric actions you commit today.
